The Best Laid Plans Of Both Often Go Astray

Finished BC’s hat this evening (the one to match the scarf). ‘Twas easier than the scarf, actually. I suspect that was so because it was a smaller project, as well as knowing the rib pattern already from the scarf.

I bought some plants & two new planters for the balcony (I blame Marn. And Martin.) So, without further ado, before and after pictures:

Had a fun time at brunch with Dean and Martin this morning. Took a couple photos and posted them up on Flickr. Learned that the trick to getting brunch at Asylum in a decent amount of time is to get there right at 11 when they open. We walked right into our seats, nothing was messed up, the server wasn’t overly harried. It was a most pleasant restaurant experience.

As I said, we carved pumpkins this weekend, and I actually took pictures for once.

It’s all his fault I took some few pictures today, but here’s a few of the prep (mostly done).

And here’s some my Dad took at the Rock ‘n Roll Half last weekend (they’re mostly post-race of myself, BC, his sister, her partner, and a great panorama he put together of the beach at the end.
